Progress

At Warrior Training Ground, we don’t do 1 rep max testing or establish fitness baselines with a battery of common benchmark lifts or runs. So the question came up, “How do you measure progress?” The easy way is to point out the obvious. I.e. 6 weeks ago you were spastically learning a Kettle bell snatch with 16 kg bells, and you thought that was tough. Now, you are doing multiple sets of 5 and 8 with Swiss watch precision and control on the 24 kg bell. This is not quantum physics. The second method is more fun. I pull out a CRC workout that took the group to the end of their respective ropes in 45 or 50 minutes 4 months ago. Then, I watch them cruise through it in 27 minutes and ask me if that is it.

Often, measuring progress is as easy as taking a look behind you.
